Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of SlimeChunk game server hosting services. This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not host, store, distribute, or transmit any content that:
- Is illegal under applicable law in any jurisdiction
- Infringes on intellectual property rights (pirated software, cracked plugins, unauthorized mod distributions)
- Contains malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, or any other malicious code
- Promotes or facilitates violence, terrorism, or extremism
- Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploitative content involving minors
- Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or constitutes hate speech
- Contains personal information of others without their consent (doxing)
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Service to:
- Launch attacks: Conduct DDoS attacks, port scanning, brute force attempts, or any form of network attack against any target, including other SlimeChunk servers
- Mine cryptocurrency: Use server resources for cryptocurrency mining or similar computationally intensive non-gaming activities
- Send spam: Send unsolicited bulk messages, advertisements, or phishing attempts
- Run non-gaming services: Use game server resources for purposes unrelated to game hosting (web hosting, proxying, VPN services, file sharing) unless expressly permitted by your plan
- Exploit vulnerabilities: Attempt to exploit, probe, or test vulnerabilities in our infrastructure, other users' servers, or third-party systems
- Evade restrictions: Circumvent resource limits, billing mechanisms, or security measures
- Operate unauthorized bots: Run automated scripts or bots that degrade service performance for other users
3. Resource Usage
- Your server is allocated specific CPU, RAM, storage, and network resources as defined by your plan.
- Sustained use at 100% of allocated resources that impacts other users on the same node may be subject to throttling.
- Excessive disk I/O, network bandwidth consumption, or connection counts beyond reasonable gaming server needs may be investigated.
- Backup storage is for game server backups only, not general-purpose file storage.
4. Modpack and Plugin Usage
- You may install modpacks and plugins that are publicly available and properly licensed.
- You are responsible for ensuring that any mods or plugins you install comply with their respective licenses and do not contain malicious code.
- We are not responsible for issues caused by third-party mods or plugins, including data loss, crashes, or security vulnerabilities.
5. Enforcement
Upon becoming aware of a potential violation of this AUP, we may take the following actions at our discretion:
- Warning: We may issue a written warning and request that you remedy the violation within a specified timeframe.
- Content Removal: We may remove or disable access to offending content.
- Suspension: We may temporarily suspend your server or account pending investigation.
- Termination: For severe or repeated violations, we may permanently terminate your account without refund.
- Reporting: We may report illegal activity to appropriate law enforcement authorities.
For imminent threats to the safety of our infrastructure or users, we may take immediate action without prior notice. In all other cases, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you before taking enforcement action.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to us through the Support section of your account or by emailing [email protected]. Reports will be investigated promptly and handled in confidence.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
